St Nicholas
The Church of St Nicholas reminds us of the long Christian heritage of this community. It helps us to think back to its founding, recorded around the turn of the first Millennium, with its Church of St Nicholas being built soon after. It reminds us that our faith in Christ was also the faith of our forefathers who founded, built, enlarged and beautified the Church, and is still the faith we profess Sunday by Sunday as a living and active Christian community. The present day congregation is developing the concept of Cell Church to enable them to care for one another; be with the local community and reach out in faith to those they live and work among.
